MEET THE SEWING MUSE

Kay is a third generation sewist and connoisseur of fashion and textile history.

Her specialties include fine dressmaker techniques and art-couture garments.

She has been teaching for 15 years.

Her passion is to pass on her knowledge, skills, and love of the art of sewing to her students.

She is a member of the American Sewing Guild, the Professional Association of Custom Clothiers, the Costume Society of America, and the Wearable Art Connection.

In 2002, Kay was a guest on HGTV's Sew Much More. She demonstrated embellishment techniques for a vest she designed and constructed.

In addition to instruction for one-on-one and small groups, she is developing plans for a "Portable Sewing School".
